Cylinder Liners for Cummins Engines

Cylinder liner ia a crucial part of a diesel engine, where they define and share the working space and the sliding surface of the piston. Our cylinder liner is made of special alloy cast iron, which has higher abrasion resistance compared to gray cast iron with flake graphite. It is machined by precise two-stage drilling and in the final stage by honing, ensuring the achievement of the required roughness parameters of the outer surface of the cylinder liner. This parameter is essential in terms of lubrication and thus the correct function and service life of the engine.

Cylinder Liners Types

The cylinder liners can be devide into 2 types according to cooling difference.

1, Dry Cylinder Liner, where the cooling medium is air, and the most widespread wet cylinder liners.

2, Wet Cylinder Liner,  designed for water-cooled internal combustion engines in which the outer surface is in direct contact with the coolant.
